My story

Their adoption process

Our adoptions include updated vaccinations, information about the animal’s health and heartworm status, a microchip, the animal’s spay or neuter surgery, a collar and engraved ID tag (while supplies last), as well as a small bag of food and an offer for pet insurance. Our adoption fees are based on a sliding scale in order to provide opportunity and advantage to those pets who historically have a harder time finding placement through our adoption programs or who are in need of extra treatment and care to provide them with lifesaving second chances. It is also our hope that the wide range of adoption fees makes the price of adoption attainable for anyone looking to add a pet to their home. Throughout the year, Southern Pines may also reduce or waive adoption fees for special adoption events or specials.Southern Pines will always value the quality of life and best interests of the pets in our care, and we will work diligently to help bring people together with pets to love.  Some highly adoptable animals have increased adoption fees. These higher fees allow us to sponsor the adoption fees of harder to place animals and provide medical procedures for the sick and injured animals in our care.
