Their adoption process
Adoptions are at the discretion of the adoption staff. Any homes we do not feel would best benefit the dog will and can be denied.
Adoption steps
- Interview
- Any interested adopter can call the rescue at 928-388-7519 to inquire about a pet listed on our site. We will discuss the pet w/ them then.
- Submit Application
- After interview if we feel you'd be a good match we will send you an adoption application for you to sign and submit.
- Meet the Pet
- Upon approval of adoption application a meet and greet will be conducted with members of the family including current pets in the home.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- If everything goes well with the meet and greet and adoption is desired adopter will sign contract and pay rehoming fee.

Hello! We are Yuma Homeward Bound Animal Rescue a 501(c)3 non profit foster based animal rescue in Yuma that specializes in dogs and cats (as well as puppies and kittens). We are a foster based rescue that depends heavily on the support of our community of willing foster families to help rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the unwanted, abandoned, and abused animals in our community, to ensure they have a happy and healthy life.
