More about this rescue

Our Director has been in rescue over 28 years. She was the VP of our local area adoption center for 6 years (Humane Society of the TN Valley). She is also the TN Director of SOS Beagle Rescue for the past 10 years. In our work with over 30 area shelters and many other rescue groups we are often asked to help non beagles and beagle mixes. That is why Recycled Best Friends started over 8 years ago.
Recycled Best Friends is a small nonprofit foster-based dog rescue staffed 100 percent by volunteers. Recycled Best Friends gives second chances to the forgotten. We prioritize the needs of seniors, quirky souls, pregnant moms, backyard breeder castoffs, and those with medical needs. From animal shelters to real homes, we are here to make the rest of their lives the best of their lives—one wag, snort, and cuddle at a time. We have been helping animals for over 8 years and our Founder has been active in rescue for over 22 years working as a VP at a local no kill shelter.
