  3. Submit Application
  4. Approve Application
    1. We ask questions about their day to day life to see if the pet they have picked would be good for them. Asking questions about their home.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
    1. Adoption fee is waived for Veterans.
  7. Take the Pet Home
    1. Pet must be spayed/neutered, rabies vaccinated, and microchipped, before going into a home environment.

Franklin County Animal Control, main goal is public safety, The officers protect and serve the citizens of Franklin County IL, by picking up strays, aggressive animals, abandoned and/or neglected animals. We then hold the animals for 7 days to give the owner a chance to reclaim their animal. If not reclaimed, then the animal can be adopted out or sent to a rescue.
