Their adoption process

Our application and screening process is intentional. Since adopting a cat can potentially be a 15–20-year commitment, it is designed to ensure a best-fit, long-term, successful adoption for both the cat and the adopter.

If you feel our process is too involved, it may indicate that a high-energy kitten or long-term pet commitment is not the right fit at this time. Our adopters value this process and recognize it as a reflection of the care, responsibility, and thoughtfulness we bring to every placement.

Important Notes:

We strongly encourage all household members to be present at the meet & greet to ensure compatibility and to identify any allergy concerns.

Go meet their pets

Private appointments in Rocklin/Roseville area after approved application. Private appointments are preferable because it is much less stressful for the cat versus a busy, loud adoption event and you can see a truer representation of the cat's personality.

More about this rescue

Why adopt from us?
Meet the kitten in their foster home — no crowds, no rush, no overstimulation. By adopting through Mission Meow, you meet kittens where they are most comfortable — in their foster home. This allows you to see the kitten’s true personality in a familiar, low-stress environment and speak directly with the foster family who knows them best. There is no pressure, no noise, and no competition from a crowded adoption venue. You may spend as much time as you need, observe natural behavior, and speak directly with the foster families raising them.

Quality medical care and responsible health management are foundational to how we raise and place our cats and kittens. We prioritize quality over quantity and do not compromise medical or sanitary standards for the sake of speed or reduced cost. We do not cut corners when it comes to health.

As a small, foster-based rescue, we are able to know our cats well and provide individualized care and attention and a personalized adoption experience.

Some kittens may not be old enough to receive a rabies vaccine at the time of adoption and may require follow-up with an adopter’s veterinarian.

***FIV/FeLV testing is performed based on age, medical history, risk factors, and veterinary recommendations. Not all cats or kittens require it or are appropriate candidates for testing.
