If you want to adopt a dog the first step is to download and fill out our online application:

For dogs the $400 adoption fee is a donation that covers the spay/neuter, testing for Heartworm , intestinal parasites, and tick borne disease, age appropriate vaccines, Heartworm preventive, dewormer and flea and tick preventive.
For cats the $150 adoption fee is a donation that covers the cat having been altered, vaccinated (age appropriate), tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, dewormed, deflead and demited.
Our cats may not be declawed and must be indoor only.

We adopt dogs from various PetSmarts in Maryland, Virginia and DC every Saturday and Sunday and post event information to our Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/LCARMD in the EVENT section of the page, check that for upcoming adoption events.
