Their adoption process

We take great care in matching our dogs to prospective homes that will fit each dog. We want the adoptive home to be the “forever” home for our rescues, they need to fit within the home and lifestyle of the family.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. https://www.pugsandhugsrescue.com/adoptionapplication
  2. Interview
  3. Home Check
  4. Approve Application
  5. Meet the Pet
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
  7. Pay Fee

Go meet their pets

We do not have a central facility/shelter as we are 100% foster-based . Everything starts with the application. Periodically we have events where you can see the doggies

Monday-Sunday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

More about this rescue

“Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Pugs and small breed dogs in need, providing them with compassionate care, medical attention, and loving forever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community on responsible pet ownership, advocating for animal welfare, and ensuring every dog gets a second chance at a happy and healthy life.”

We're a little dog rescue with a big heart, committed to making a difference one tiny paw at a time.
Pugs and Hugs Rescue is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization based in Nevada and Colorado.

While we focus on surrendered, unwanted, abandoned, ill, injured small breeds under 30 pounds, our passion drives us to partner with other rescue organizations across the United States in order to help wherever there is the need.

Every dog deserves a loving home, and we're dedicated to giving these little companions a fresh start, full of hugs and hope.

We invite you to join our journey — whether by adopting, fostering, or supporting our cause. Together, we can create a brighter future for every little dog in need.
