Their adoption process

Please consider making a difference by adopting a pet. These cats and kittens are patiently waiting for their forever homes and are sure to fill your life with love, companionship, and happiness for many years to come.

Health & Medical Information:
All of our cats and kittens are fully vetted and ready for adoption. They have been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and treated for fleas and worms. Adopting through us saves you the time, expense, and effort of arranging these medical services yourself, which can often cost two to four times more at a veterinary clinic.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based cat rescue, which means our cats are cared for in foster homes throughout the Los Angeles area rather than in one central shelter location. Most meet-and-greets take place in the cats’ foster homes, where potential adopters can get to know them in a more relaxed setting.

We also showcase some of our adoptable cats at our two Petco locations in La Habra and Whittier. We rotate the cats regularly so they do not spend too much time in the cages, and we host adoption events at both locations 1–2 times each month. Be sure to check our social media for our latest adoption event flyers!

More about this rescue

Animals in Need Rescue Network helps animals through free spay and neuter clinics for community cats, TNR (trap, neuter, return) services, veterinary care and rehabilitation for sick and injured animals, fostering, and adoptions.

Every part of this work is crucial to the bigger picture of saving animals in need. When you adopt from AINRN, you are not only giving a cat a loving home — you are also helping address cat overpopulation at its root by supporting the cost of our clinics.

Since 2011, AINRN has served the Los Angeles area, rescuing injured cats and dogs from the streets and high-kill shelters. In 2022, we even rescued a horse. We are a proud network of all-volunteer trappers, transporters, fosters, and advocates. We believe it takes a community to save animals in need, and that independent rescuers and rescue groups working together can make the greatest impact.
