Their adoption process

We are committed to making the best matches possible between our adoptable pets and potential adopters. We are totally transparent with the needs of our animals to ensure there are no surprises and to help ensure the pet is a great fit for your home! We also follow up post-adoption to help provide support as needed.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
Start by submitting an application on our website
  2. Interview
We will ask questions and tell you more about the adoptable pet you are interested in to see if he/she is a good fit for your home
  3. Home Check
This also includes meeting the pet
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
This happens after you take the night to think about how the meet and greet with the pet went/we feel like you are a good fit
  5. Pay Fee
Our adoption fees are listed on our website
  6. Take the Pet Home
You can officially welcome your new pet into your family!

More about this rescue

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.

We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.

Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
