Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out application. We don't do meet & greets until applications are approved.
- Interview
- Once application had been processed, references checked, etc. - we will arrange a phone interview.
- Take the Pet Home
- Once apps are approved we arrange the meet and greet, and adoption day. Contracts will be signed, we will share medical, etc.

All our pets are in foster homes. We don't do any meet and greets until applications are received and approved. Thank You.
More about this rescue
Save-A-Mutt is dedicated to creating awareness about the number of adoptable dogs in shelters and rescues... and to find every dog its forever home! We do this by raising funds to A) cover the costs of transporting litters of puppies from high kill shelters to spay/neuter and adopt out; B) Focus on the welfare and final placement of Senior Dogs relinquished at area shelters, and C) assist and support local rescue groups. In addition, we hold a firm belief that 'Puppies aren't Products' and hope to stop the sale of puppies and kittens in Washington State pet stores.
