Applications are screened on an individual basis. We search our own database of banned owners, google map home check, landlord and vet checks when applicable, social media checks and at times PA Docket checks

The mission of our no-kill shelter is to find safe, loving homes for abused, abandoned and homeless animals in the A-K Valley and to educated the public about responsible pet ownership.
Animal Protectors is celebrating its 50th year providing animal care services to Allegheny Valley communities including 2 low-cost rabies clinics per year, at Trap/Neuter/Return program for community cats, foster care, lost/found services, and an emergency pet food bank. We also take animals in need from emergency services personnel. Animal Protectors is an independent, non-profit organization that relies on donations and grants for funding.
