We are a foster-based, volunteer-run rescue serving the Sugar Land, Rosenberg, and Richmond areas. Because we do not operate out of a physical shelter, all of our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes where we’re able to better understand their personalities and needs.
Our adoption process is designed to be thoughtful, efficient, and focused on successful matches. It includes:
An adoption application
A brief video interview
A meet-and-greet to bring your new family member home
We’ve developed this process to save time for both adopters and volunteers while ensuring each pet finds the right home. Our goal is to continue refining this model so we can expand our services and help even more animals and community members in need.

More about this rescue
Allegory of Allegra trains sanctuary dogs to serve as facility dogs, therapy dogs, and emotional support animals for mental health facilities, schools, hospitals, and the community. We are currently closing our community shelter dog program and thus all adoption fees are waived.
