Their adoption process

If you live in a rented home or apartment, we will also require proof that you have permission to have a pet. If you have roommates, we also require signatures on the contract to ensure that they have read and understand the contract.

Adoption steps

  1. Sign Adoption Contract
We have our Contract pinned to our FB page, but when you contact us, we will send you a contract for the specific animal you are in.
  2. Interview
This is also a time for you to ask any questions you may have about the animal you are interested in, or about our organization.
  3. Pay Fee
Wild Serenity Cat Rescue Fund reserves the right to refuse an adoption until the fee is paid. Adopters have the same right.
  4. Take the Pet Home
We like to take goodbye pictures with our cats and their new pawrents.

Go meet their pets

We are open by appointment only.

More about this rescue

Because of one cat who showed up at our house just as COVID was sending us into lockdown, we became rescuers. Though we started in 2020, we did not become a North Carolina-recognized nonprofit until 2025.

We use royalties from books written by our president, Gwen W Segal, and donations.

Our first goal is to help others who do good work, feeding, TNVRing, and rescuing unhomed companion animals. We do feed, TNRV, and rescue cats. The number of cats we have in rescue varies depending on how much room we have.
