Their adoption process

An application must be filled out and screened by SSF. There is no fee. We do not accept donations. Privately funded by Mr. Sam Simon.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    Fill out an online application at www.ssfdogs.org.
  2. Meet the Pet
    Qualified applicants will be invited to our facility to meet the dog. Then they and we wait 24 hours to decide if it's a match.
  3. Home Check
    We deliver the dog to your home for the final step in the process. A contract will be signed at that time.

Go meet their pets

If we feel we have a match, we will arrange a time and place for you to meet the dog.

We are a non-profit organization that rescues dogs from animal shelters with the goal of training them to be Hearing Dogs. Dogs that do not complete training are adopted as pets.
