Their adoption process

All adoptions include a take-home care packet.

More about this rescue

Maggie and Me Animal Rescue Inc. was founded in 2026 by Terri Anne Fitch in Rockmart, Georgia. We are a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit pulling at-risk animals from North Georgia shelters and placing them in loving foster homes until they find their forever families. Named after Terri's own beloved dog Maggie, this rescue was born from a passion for saving lives and serving the community.
We believe we are a different kind of rescue. Beyond adoption, we are committed to keeping pets in their homes by providing low-cost and free community services including a pet food pantry, food delivery to homebound and senior pet owners, and resources for families in need. By addressing the root causes of owner surrenders and animal dumping, we work to reduce the burden on local shelters and keep families together with their pets.
None of this is possible without our amazing foster families and volunteers. If you have a heart for animals and want to make a real difference in Polk County and beyond, we would love to have you on our team.
"A righteous one cares for the needs of their animal." — Proverbs 12:10
