Their adoption process

We have an application process. Because majority of our animals are in foster homes, we generally like for you to fill out an application before meeting them. We will check your vet references if you presently have or have had pets previously. A phone interview or home visit is common. General approval can be between 1-3 days, with weekends often taking longer.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
You can fill out an application below or on the Pet Association website https://petassociationestespark.com -We will contact you in 48 hours
  2. Meet the Pet
If you would like to meet an animal, you may contact Meg Mizzoni at (970) 815-1861 or message the Pet Association Facebook page.
  3. Take the Pet Home
Approval can be between 1-3 days. If your application is approved prior to meeting the pet, you can expect to bring your new friend home!

Go meet their pets

We do not own our own facility. We pay to have our animals boarded at the Estes Park Pet Lodge (Cats) and the Animal Hospital of the Rockies (Dogs). At this time this is our general rule of housing as well as our fosters. Some of our dogs are fostered in Loveland by Buddy's Fosters as well as individual fosters in Estes.

If you would like to meet an animal you may call the facility where that type of animal is housed OR you can send us a message on our Facebook page (Estes Park Pet Association), OR call Meg Mizzoni at (970) 286-1652. You may also contact Nicole Stegeman (Buddy's Fosters Manager) for more information or with questions (970) 278-7976.

More about this rescue

The Pet Association of Estes Park was created in 1973. It was founded with the goal of helping the area homeless animals in need and to educate youth and the community about the humane care of animals. We provide shelter, care and veterinary services to stray and surrendered animals until we can place them in loving homes.

One of our founding and very important goals, are spay and neuter. We hold a spay and neuter clinic every Fall. Our donations help assist the community in this very important endeavor.
