Their adoption process

At 603 Canine Rescue, our goal is to make thoughtful, lifelong matches between dogs and adopters. Every application is reviewed individually, and approved applicants participate in a conversation with our team to help determine the best fit based on lifestyle, experience, and the dog's needs.

All dogs receive age-appropriate veterinary care, are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and kept up to date on parasite prevention before adoption. Dogs arriving from transport complete a minimum 48-hour intake quarantine and receive a veterinary evaluation before becoming available.

We encourage meet-and-greets with approved applicants and remain available to provide guidance and support after adoption.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
  2. Approve Application
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
  4. Pay Fee
  5. Take the Pet Home

Go meet their pets

603 Canine Rescue is not a traditional walk-in shelter. To ensure each dog receives individualized attention and a low-stress experience, meetings are scheduled by appointment for approved applicants.

Dogs first complete our intake process, including a minimum 48-hour quarantine and veterinary evaluation. Once available, approved adopters can meet dogs in a setting that is appropriate for the individual dog's needs. This allows us to provide a more personalized adoption experience and helps set both dogs and families up for long-term success.

More about this rescue

603 Canine Rescue is a New Hampshire-based, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving dogs the individualized care, medical attention, and training support they need to thrive. We believe every dog deserves a chance, and every adoption deserves to be the right fit for both the dog and the family.

We partner with trusted rescue organizations to save dogs in need and provide comprehensive care before adoption, including veterinary evaluation, enrichment, and thoughtful behavioral assessment. Our team is committed to transparency, ethical rescue practices, and supporting adopters every step of the way.
