Their adoption process

First step for adoption is to complete our adoption form @ https://www.apathwaytohope.org/petadoptions

We will then screen your application through a vet reference check, phone interview (this is when you can ask all of your questions over the phone), reference checks (2) and a home visit. Our adoption donation is $300 for Dogs and $150 for cats and includes spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccines and preventatives up to date per the dog or cat's age, health check, fecal / deworming as needed and heartworm testing and treatment as needed.

More details will be provided as you move through the adoption process.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
Fill out an online Application. First, choose a pet from the list and then choose that pet on the online application form.
  2. Interview
Once we receive your application, a phone interview will be scheduled.
  3. Home Check
Once application is accepted, a Home Check will be scheduled. A home check verifies the home is a good environment for the pet.
  4. Approve Application
Once the home check is competed, your application goes through the final approval process.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
Once approved, a link will be sent to you with the adoption contract.
  6. Pay Fee
Once the adoption contract is signed, then a link will be sent to pay the adoption fee.
  7. Take the Pet Home
Once the fee is paid, arrangements are then made for you to pickup the pet or have the pet delivered to you home.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2010, A Pathway to Hope is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of homeless dogs and cats and community outreach to further the cause of rescue. We focus on the rescue of special needs animals, northern breed dogs, local rescue of stray / feral cats and all breeds of dogs, as we provide individual, intensive medical and behavioral care to match their needs.

A Pathway to Hope is a needs-based rescue, 100% volunteer and foster based. Every dollar you donate goes directly to the care of the animals we rescue. In addition to individual foster homes, Pathway owns and operates Hope’s Home, a rescue foster home and sanctuary for dogs and cats with special needs who have nowhere else to live. Hope’s Home provides residents with intensive medical and behavioral care to meet their needs and prepare them for forever homes.
