Their adoption process

Ask shelter staff about the dog you're looking at, come in and meet the dog in person, if you have another dog within your home we require all dogs to meet on our property first. We do not adopt out if the dogs do not get along on our property. If everything goes well, then we can talk about the adoption contract + fees.

All animals leaving our facility have a date set up to get spayed or neutered. If they're under 6mons of age it is your responsibility to get them to their spay/neuter date that we set up. if they're an adult, we will transport them to the vet on the day of their spay/neuter and you will pick them up from the vet.

More about this shelter

Peach County Animal Control is dedicated to protecting public safety and ensuring the humane treatment of animals in our community.

We started in November of 2025, and have already had multiple animals come through, get adopted, returned to their owner, or sent off to a rescue to be adopted!
