Their adoption process
We do not have a first come/first servied policy. All of our dogs have been assessed and have certain best fit criteria that must be met. We work closely with adopters to match them to a dog that meets their lifestyle and family needs.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationYou can find out application on our website at www.sacredpawz.org
- InterviewOnce we have your application, someone will give you a call to answer any questions you may have and to explain the adoption process.
- Meet the PetA meet and greet with all members of your family will be arranged with the dog's foster parent.
- Home CheckAn in person or video home check will be done prior to approving application and taking the dog home.
- Sign Adoption ContractOnce application, references and home check are complete, you will esign an adoption contract.
- Pay FeeAdoption fee's are paid via venmo or through our donatation button on our website.
- Take the Pet HomeOnce all steps are complete, you will arrange a time to pick up your new family member from the foster parent.

We are a foster based rescue which means all of our pets are being cared for in someone's home and not at one central location. Meet and greets with all the dogs in are care are arranged by appointment with the foster family only.

Our Services Include:
Foster Care Program: We work with a dedicated group of foster families who care for dogs in a home setting, helping them adjust to life outside the shelter while they await adoption. Each dog is treated as an individual, with care plans tailored to their needs.
Training and Behavior Support: We provide training to help dogs overcome behavioral challenges and teach basic obedience, ensuring they are well-prepared for life with their new families. Whether it's house training, leash manners, or socialization, we work to address the unique needs of each dog.
Spay/Neuter Program: To help reduce the overpopulation of unwanted animals, we offer spay and neuter services as a critical part of our rescue efforts. By preventing unwanted litters, we contribute to long-term solutions for the pet population crisis.
Comprehensive Veterinary Care: Every dog in our care receives a thorough veterinary exam, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, and any necessary medical treatments. We ensure that all our dogs are in good health and fully ready for adoption.
