My story

Their adoption process

Walk-ins are welcome! All adoptions are completed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're interested in adopting a dog from the Hall County Animal Shelter and already have dogs at home, we ask that you please bring them with you. This way, we can conduct a meet-and-greet with the potential adoptee to ensure compatibility.

Please note: We do not allow cat to dog temperament testing, but we do allow dog to dog temperament testing.

Thank you for your understanding.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
  2. Interview
Interview the pet you are interested in. We do ask that you bring any current dogs in your home for a meet and greet before adoption.

More about this shelter

Hall County Animal Shelter is a county-funded, open-admission, high-volume shelter serving the animals of Hall County. We care for strays brought in by Animal Control and accept owner surrenders on an appointment basis.

We LOVE our volunteers and are incredibly grateful for the community's generous donations. Every bit of support helps us provide care and comfort to the animals in need.

Our team works hard every day to give every animal the best chance at a new beginning, whether that means finding a loving forever home or placement with a rescue partner.
