Their adoption process
All of our dogs once approved for adoption will be spayed/neutered if they are not already, and up to date on all required vaccines.
Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a PetWe encourage everyone interested in adopting to come to the shelter for a meet and greet although it is not required.
- Meet the PetWe do encourage meet and greets before deciding to adopt. It helps in making an informed decision and to tell if the match is compatible.
- Submit ApplicationYou may fill out an application on our website at https://www.chillicotheanimalshelter.org/adopt or you can fill one out at our shelter.
- Approve ApplicationOnce we receive your application our shelter guardian will review your application and determine approval status.
- Sign Adoption ContractThis contract is part of the adoption process. It must be signed by you in order for your application to be accepted.
- Pay FeeWe accept cash or check ONLY.

Dogs: $200
Puppies for Parole Graduate Dogs: $225
Cats: $125 - Take the Pet Home
