MEET MICHELANGELO !! Affectionately known as MICKEY... He is a pure bred , Champion line Standard Poodle. He will be 2 years old, on NOV. 11th 2006
This is a well loved dog, never abused, and is in need of the PERFECT home for him. HE is ENERGY PLUS, loves to play and run around, a FULLY FENCED YARD is A MUST- NO E FENCES - DON'T ASK !
He is doing well with the other dogs in his Foster Home, a female German Shepherd Dog, age 4, and a male papillon age 5. He seems to be fine with the cat.
HE requires a bath every 2 weeks and a professional clipping/grooming once a month. THIS will be in his contract.
HE was taken care of very well - and he will ONLY be re homed to a person ( family) that can afford the maintenance on this breed of dog, and is willing to provide the very best for him.
If you do NOT have STANDARD poodle experience I suggest you research this breed BEFORE you apply.

He really seems to enjoy playing with the Female German Shepherd at his fosters - so a home with another dog that will love to play would be Ideal.
We also would prefer a home where people are home often, as we do NOT want Mickey to be lonely, he loves attention, affection & PLAY.
an active family (person) would be a good fit.
he is NOT a couch potato dog.
He knows Basic commands, sit, stay , down, etc...and walks fine on leash. he also is great in a car.
He does NOT like to be left outdoors ALONE and will bark.
Poodles are usually said to be hypo allergenic dogs. THIS IS A MYTH.
They are LOW shedders ( as without the regular grooming they will mat up instead of shed out)
BUT when someone is allergic to a dog it is the DANDER on the skin NOT the hair its self. that they are allergic to. ALL dogs HAVE DANDER.
Poodles are known to have LESS dander as they are groomed often. BUT can still effect severely allergic persons.
Poodles are VERY HIGHLY Intelligent dogs, and NEED mental and physical stimulation.
so PLEASE research this breed.
MICKEY is up to date on all shots, HW neg and on preventative, micro chipped wormed and neutered.
house trained , and crate trained.
ADOPTION FEE is $500.00 with APPROVED application, home visit & CARE contract.
* any monies made on this dogs adoption fee beyond his medical or maintenance costs will be used for the less fortunate pound dogs we rescue & the ones that need special vetting.
