Step 1: Fill out the adoption application on our website.

Someone from our team will reach out to you in 3-5 business days. We may send you a list of resources if your application did not demonstrate your avian care knowledge.

2. Schedule your virtual interview with a member of our team. This is your opportunity to ask questions, show us where you plan to keep the bird, and share more about your avian experience.

3. Once you have completed the virtual interview, schedule your in-person meet-and-greet appointment. You can spend time with your bird and start the initial bonding process.

4. Prepare for your new bird. Gather all of the equipment, food, and accessories you need to welcome your new bird home. Please send us photos of your full set up.

5. Take home day is here! Sign the contract, pay their adoption fee, and start your 3 month foster-to-adopt period with your bird.

Each bird is placed in a foster home, transferred to a healthy diet, and started on a training routine. New surrenders are examined by an avian specialist veterinarian, tested for common communicable avian diseases and infections, and DNA sexed.
