Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationContact us for more information if you are interested in a pet we have listed. An adoption application will be required.
- InterviewWe will review your application, check references, and potentially schedule a time for you to meet the pet and setup a home check.
- Approve ApplicationIf it is a fit, the applicant will sign the adoption contract and complete the pet adoption.

Newton County Animal Welfare provides resources for pet owners in need, promotes responsible pet ownership, and rescues lost, injured, and abandoned animals in Newton County, Arkansas. We are a foster-based network and do not have a shelter facility to accept animals. We frequently host affordable mobile spay/neuter and vaccination clinics and offer a pet food pantry in partnership with Fido Fixers and Good Shepherd Humane Society.
