The Humane Bean Pet Rescue was founded in 2018. Recognized as an Ohio 501(c)(3) Nonprofit in 2021, our goal is to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. Since the beginning, The Humane Bean Pet Rescue has been entrusted with sensitive cases which are handled with empathy and compassion. We put ourselves in the shoes of every person who reaches out for help with zero judgment.
Since we are a small-scale organization, we help where we are able, depending on funding and volunteer availability. We foster our rescues in a home environment with experienced fosters. The Humane Bean Pet Rescue serves Stark County and Wayne County. Our goal for the future is to open a nonprofit high-volume spay and neuter clinic in Northeast Ohio to continue our mission of reducing overpopulation and suffering in cat communities.
WHAT WE DO
TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN (TNR): We provide TNR services to cat caretakers in Stark County and Wayne County. TNR prevents birth and unnecessary suffering in local cat colonies. Cats are trapped on Sundays, taken to the clinic for surgery Mondays, and returned Tuesdays. $60 per cat covers a spay/neuter, 1-year Rabies vaccine, 1-year FVRCP vaccine, an ear tip, and 24 hours of boarding.
REHAB: Provided we have space and resources, we will rehabilitate cats who are injured, ill, or facing imminent danger and death. Due to the nature of our intake requirements, we do not take surrenders from the public. Our intake is from clinic/hospital or shelter to foster.
ADOPTIONS: Our rescued animals are available for adoption once they are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and deemed healthy for release by their veterinarian. All potential adoptees are subject to a background check and a $50 adoption fee per cat.
MICROCHIPPING: We offer $20 microchips to the public to reduce the number of lost pets and to reunite lost pets with their owners swiftly.
