My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby is a beautiful spayed female long haired tabby. If there was such a thing, I would call this gal a mini Maine Coon. She's got those distinctive Main Coon markings - long, dark tabby coat and big piercing green eyes - but she's just too small a gal to be a true Main Coon.

Abby came to us from a person who had too many cats to take care of. She and her buddy, Chloe, came in together. They are both very social girls who love to be petted. While very fond of being petted, Abby was not keen on coming out of her "den". She was more than happy for me to put both my hands in the box where she was sleeping and pet her all over - even rub her tummy - but she just didn't want to come out. She did peek her head out of the box a couple times, only to dart right back in. She reminded me of a turtle ducking in and out of its shell.

Abby's coat length will require some extra TLC and brushing by her owners, but boy will she be worth it. This girl has it all - looks, personality and a sweet disposition. She is sure to make some lucky cat lover purr with delight. Come make her part of your feline family today!

All cats with the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, on flea prevention and tested for FIV/FeLV. Adoptions come with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and one month free of pet health insurance.
