Rudy is a beautiful boy that has never had his own forever home or a family to call his own, but that is about to change for this sweet guy. Rudy has pretty much lived his whole life outside, fending for himself, until he found himself in a trap! A volunteer feeds some stray kitties in her neighborhood and happened to see a new guy. She set out to trap him so she could get him neutered and then release him, but she saw what a sweet cat he was and knew with some time and patience he would make a wonderful family member. So she found someone to foster him until space was available at Good Mews. Rudy may be a little shy at first, but he will come around. His foster mom said in the short time she had him, he was already becoming more comfortable. I guess if I lived my whole life outside, by myself, I would be a little nervous in a new environment as well. But I know once Rudy knows he is part of a family and he isn’t going anywhere, he will start to feel more confidant and brave. Rudy does enjoy being petted and likes his cheek to be rubbed. He likes attention and when he feels comfortable, he is a talker! And I am sure there are a lot more things Rudy likes and we will enjoy finding out what they are!
Update-Well, in the short time Rudy has been with us, he has really progressed! He has become a lot more comfortable and loving. He has decided that he really enjoys this “indoor lifestyle” and can’t wait to find his forever family! Rudy is a big talker and loves to chat. When he sees people, he will start hollering, and asking you to come over and spend time with him. He loves to be petted and held. He also enjoys sitting in people’s laps. On his first adoption weekend, several people stopped by to see him and he got loads of attention and he really soaked it up! Rudy will make a great family member. He is super handsome and loving.
