Sit Happens Rescue is a small, dedicated dog rescue based in Huntsville, Texas. We focus on saving dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or left without options, and we give them the medical care, safety, and compassion they deserve. Every dog in our care lives in a loving foster home where we learn their personality, needs, and quirks so we can match them with the perfect forever family.

We believe in responsible rescue, transparency, and doing things the right way. Our adopters receive dogs who are fully vetted, microchipped, and supported with honest information about their behavior and care. We stay by our dogs’ sides from intake to adoption — and beyond.

Sit Happens Rescue is built on community, kindness, and the belief that every dog deserves a chance to sit, stay, and finally feel safe.
