Their adoption process

Interested in one of our pets? Please email our group, and an application will be sent over to you. Once we have your information - lets meet some pets! We will set up meeting the pet(s) you are interested in, in person. There will be a mandatory 2nd+ meet with any pets or kids you have at home as well. If meets go well, and you're ready to consider this pet in your family - we will finalize all applications, references, vet checks, home visits, etc. Once Approved & Paid, you can take your new best friend home! **Please note that all adoptions are considered "Trial" for the 1st 30 days, and may come with Trial Obligations.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
You must email the Team to get an application and discuss animals further!
  2. Meet the Pet
You can meet the pet at our Partner Facility, one of our local walks or events, or we can arrrange a mutual meeting space.
  3. Interview
We will check all references, and vet history. In some circumstances a Home Visit or photos will be required.
  4. Approve Application
  5. Pay Fee
  6. Take the Pet Home
Please Note that all Adoptions are trials for the first 30 days, with Contractual Obligations.

Go meet their pets

Most of our pets are met out in the community - at local events, outings or Pack Walks. However some of our animals are kept at our Partner Boarding Kennel - and Meet & Greets can be held there -especially when meeting other animals from the home.

Monday-Sunday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

More about this rescue

We are OHARS - a Pet Rehoming Services with a 3 step Mission.
1 - help our community keep their pets safely at home, if Rehoming can be avoided.
2 - help rehome as needed, to the safest possible environment for each pet.
3 - help match our Community with their perfect next best friend, whether it be ours, or through one of the other amazing local Rescues & Shelters.

Our goal is the Community Animals. Whatever they need, in the way they need it.
