MEET JESTER!
Jester is a very lonely dog, His beloved master passed away and the dogs he lived with were all adopted out - he came from a family of 6 dogs , and many cats and a very doting master.
Jester is a VERY good boy, neutered, UTD on shots , HW neg. Housebroken & crate trained.
he walks very well on leash and has excellent recall.(even off leash)
Jester is about 4 years old, and mature so he is well mannered in the home, and rather timid at first till he knows you, he only had one master all his life , and being alone is very scary for him.
he is good with other dog friendly dogs and he is fine with cats.
He likes kids , but was not raised with little children, so when they get too loud or hectic he will just leave the room.
he doesn't jump on people, but will lay his head or paw on you for petting and loving.
he doesn't like to be alone so we would prefer a home with a dog friendly dog or people that are home most of the day , when not home to keep him from getting anxious we recommend a crate so he feels safe in his "den" area.
He can jump very high , and can jump easily a 5 foot fence - he doesn't like to wander but - we would not recommend him to be left alone n a Yard unsupervised for hours on end, he is much better in a fenced yard with another dog that will not try to leave, if your yard is fenced UNDER 6 ft - you will have to supervise him while outside until he knows he is home , as he doesn't understand why he is not in his home and with his doggie & cat friends.
he will be available for people that do NOT have fenced yards as long as you use a zip line so he can get around safely.
he lived his whole life without a fence and had access to the yard with a doogie dog , he never ran away.
this dog is a good candidate for almost anyone, people in the country, or a person in the burbs, or even in the city.
he is not hyper and does not require massive amounts of exercise, his potty breaks and a walk is fine for him, he prefers to be close to his people.
he is a "Velcro dog", loves to be near you.
Jester is VERY much in need of a new family or person to bond with, his heart was broken and only the love of a compassionate person can heal him.
we will update with new & better photos of this very attractive boy, and more information about him as the foster gets to know him better .
Jester is a beautiful , low maintenance dog, and will be a VERY good friend and faithful companion to you.
AS he was raised by a woman , he is a bit more timid of men, but once he gets to know you he warms right up.
