Hi, my name is Simon. I am staying in Indiana with my foster family. I have a sister who is the boss and a brother who really tolerates me. They are both older and a lot more laid back. I, on the other hand, am a bundle of energy. I would love to be the alpha and would be great as a single dog or with a submissive pal. I love Frisbee, tennis balls, kick balls, stuffed toys and will bring any one of these right back to your feet to toss again. I will fly right off the end of a dock for Frisbee’s and just love the water. I feel with training I could be a great dock dog.
I only weigh about 33lbs but am long legged. I love and am very motivated by my food and treats. I am crate trained and stay there when no one is home. I will sleep on the floor right next to your bed and will come up in bed with you to cuddle, if you allow. I am one heck of a hugger. I love to stand and put my feet next to your head as you bend down and hug. I mean really hug and I don’t put my weight on you hardly at all. But if you tell me off, then I am. I know lots of commands and do most of them ok. But leash walking is a challenge for me. Though I love to go for rides, Love Rides!
So … my foster family thinks I should go to a home that is very active and likes to go outside at least twice a day to play and has plenty of space to run. I am allowed off leash here but I am always supervised and we are in the country. I think a fenced-in back yard to play in would be cool. If you have kids, I think I would like them. I have only been around a few but it was fun and I behaved. I don’t know about little tiny kids though. Cats … I was around a couple for a short time but they were chickens and took off to hide. My Mom called them chickens, I thought they were cats? I probably would be ok around a cat who knows dogs.
Like I said earlier, I love Frisbee, chuck it with tennis balls, etc. I will bring them all right back to you. I really like it when you come outside and play with me but also am happy to play tennis ball down the hallway or just toss a soft animal in the house. Us BC’s have a couple of baskets in the bedroom and I love to just go in there and pull toys out. Then I lie down in toy heaven and play with them all.
