My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remi is a striking spayed female shepherd mix with lots of love to share with a new family. Remi and her sister, Foxy, came to the Humane Society together. They both are still trying to sort out all the new sights and sounds as they are different than the ones they are accustomed to at home. They are a bit shy at first, especially around men, but give them a little time to warm up to you and it’s all worth it.

Remi is the “big” sister of the two. She is tall and regal with a rich caramel colored coat with a light black saddle. Her face is full like her sister’s – you can definitely see the family resemblance – but her coat is not as long and her ears don’t prick like Foxy’s do. She is a pretty girl with a sweet disposition.

Foxy is lower to the ground than her sister and she looks much more like a shepherd. She’s a bit low slung and her face is a bit wider than a shepherd, but everything else is there. The thick coat, the full tail with just a bit of curl and the ears that are at permanent attention – all shepherd.

Remi and Foxy are sweet gals who deserve everything good that life has to offer – a warm place to sleep, a good belly rub and a family to love. Come make one – or both – of these girls part of your family.

All dogs at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea prevention. All dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworms. Adoptions come with a small bag of Hill's Science Diet food and a free one month trial of pet health insurance.
