What a gorgeous boy! Tango is a 2-year-old,purebred, dark chocolate Labrador Retriever. He is petite at about 50#. He has quite a story of how he came into our care. Tango came into this world and was purchased by someone for his 2 and 3 year old kids. Imagine the work involved with a puppy and 2 small children. As you can imagine, that didn’t go well, and Tango was put out on a chain for the rest of his life. The whole neighborhood watched as Tango barked for attention and was very neglected. He managed to escape one day. One neighbor caught him and brought him to the owner. The owner said, “Don’t want him anymore, if you don’t take him I’m just gonna take him to the pound.” That neighbor found another neighbor, who had just lost one of their dogs, to take him in. Well, after 5 months, these good samaritans realized that they weren’t the right fit for Tango. They couldn’t control his exhuberant barking, causing yet another neighbor to call the police. So, he is now in our care. AS LAB LOVERS, WE IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM! As I write this, he is laying at my feet, quite content.
Tango is a typical lab. So happy, his tail is constantly wagging. He is happy about life, seeking out every new adventure with gusto! He is smart and learns quickly. He doesn’t jump up on you for attention, he is the best sitter!
He likes to go for walks and rides well in the car. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. He loves to play fetch………..forever. He likes the water. He could probably be trained for hunting, he certainly has the retrieving instinct.
If you love labs, Tango is fabulous and would be a great addition for an active family, but only if Tango is a part of the action!
He is crate trained and house trained and ready for his next adventure.
Who wants to be the lucky family to have Tango as a member?
