My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sola! Sola is a gorgeous little red merle 'double merle' Australian Shepherd puppy. She is appx 5 months old and given her size at this age, we're guessing she's probably a 'tweenie' Aussie. Meaning, she's too big to be a mini, but too small to be a standard. She'll probably top out around 35lbs or so. Sola is fabulous with other dogs and while interested in cats, once they slap at her she will leave them alone. Sola is deaf, but she has learned a ton of hand signals! She knows sit, stay (most of the time), lay down, off and come. Sola's vision is good enough to see hand signals and close up, but I think its distorted when it comes to things far away. Because of this, she sometimes gets anxious and scared of moving trucks and other odd looking things. Sola is mostly housebroken and she does wonderfully in her crate. She's quiet most of the time, but will woof at you when she wants to go potty or play! Sola is a fabulous little girl. But she will need a committed owner who will continue her training and not let her walk all over them. She needs guidence and instruction and patience, and with this will come a delightful forever friend! We also recommend that Sola go to a home with at least one other dog! She loves to play and she watches other dogs closely to learn how to act. Please contact us if you have any questions! Or fill out the adoption application at www.NS4AR.org.
