My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Corky is a 4 year old red, fawn female who has been in a home for several months. She was returned after a serious altercation with the whippet in her adoptive home that most likely was precipitated by the sighting of a coyote through the fence. She had never shown any aggression to other dogs before or to the cat. Corky has good house manners and will do better in home with a block wall where she doesn't see the predator wildlife. Corky is a loving girl.


FOSTER UPDATE:

Corky is a confident, friendly dog that enjoys her morning playtime. She loves people and kids and possibly prefers men. Corky likes to relax outside on the patio and watch the world go by. While Corky has lived harmoniously with a cat, she cannot be with small dogs. When she gets excited, she becomes dominant and could injure a small dog. However, she gets along well at the doggie park with the larger dogs. Except for the vacuum, Corky is usually unfazed by loud noises. She can be left alone for a while without becoming anxious. Corky is well behaved in the home, is not crated, and does not beg for food or counter-surf. She is mostly housetrained without a doggie door. She will bark if the doorbell rings or at wild life roaming around the desert on the other side of the fence. Car rides with her head out the window, and long walks are favorite pastimes, but tossing and hoarding toys is her number one passion.
