My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Bothell, WA
Hello, my name is Lucy. One look at me and you can see why everyone says I am so adorable. I'm told that my ears and nub tail are two of my cutest features. I'm 12 pounds and almost 18 months old, so I'm still young and very playful. I have many toys, and love to play fetch & chase. I really like the toys that squeak, and can even go get a toy by its toy name. I really enjoy going for rides in the car. After a long day of playing, I really love spending time with the family and cuddling up on someone’s lap. I'm always so excited to meet someone new, as I just love everybody. I rarely ever bark, but if there's a knock on the door or the doorbell rings, I'll let you know (but only with a bark or two). When I go to doggy day camp I get to play with a lot of different dogs, all about my size, and I always come home with a great report card. I'm very curious, and would either like to be an explorer or a track star when I grow up, because I'm fast! My owners were able to be at home with me the entire time I have been with them, but recently a few things have changed, and they are not able to spend as much time with me as we all would like. There is a new baby here now too, so the limited time we all have gets shared between the two of us. I'm great with the new baby, and try to give him kisses all of the time. I've met a few older kids out on walks and have had nothing but good times with them. We are all a bit sad these days because my walks have just about disappeared, and I now have to spend the days alone in my “room” (crate). Hopefully someone who is looking to have a lot of fun, and can spend time with me (especially going for walks and playing games!), sees me here and is willing to welcome me into their home.

Note: This is a Guardian Assistance Placement (GAP) Program dog, meaning he/she has been fortunate enough to remain in his/her current home while looking for a new home. Veterinary records have been verified, but we must rely on input from the owner for information on behavior and temperament.
