After he has hit by a car in York County, SC, "Stretch" lay untreated in a local veterinarian's hospital for over a week until rescuers were able to get him out and into proper medical care. Some professionals are clearly in the wrong line of work, and that one is going to have some explaining to do to the state licensing board. It was three days before a good veterinarian could get "Stretch" hydrated and stable enough for surgery to repair his broken bones. Today the only signs little "Stretch" shows of his terrible experience is where he was shaved for surgery, and that hair has started to grow back in. By the time it has, we hope he won't even remember it. Here at Maranatha Farm the little guy runs and plays with the other dogs as if he had not a care in the world. He snuggles up in a lap at any opportunity, and if we didn't already have too many dogs in bed with us at night we suspect he would be a great foot-warmer too. "Stretch" is long and very lean even though he eats like a timber wolf.
