My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boy does Adonis have a story to tell. This magnificent boy was sent to another "rescue"... a FL "sanctuary". Sad, sad, sad..... this place was NOT a rescue nor was it a sanctuary. It was a death sentence. Found with hundreds of other dogs on the property and no humans to care for them, Adonis was in an outdoor kennel run with 10+ dogs (in an outdoor kennel meant for 2-3 dogs :-( ). A huge number of the dogs found on the property were found to be heartworm positive, parvo positive, and/or positive for sarcoptic mange AND ALL of them were infested with intestinal worms, giardea, and coccidia. Letting NOBODY and NOTHING get in their way, a group of devoted rescuers set a goal to get Adonis out of the horrible situation in FL and with a lot of hard work and prayers, Adonis is now safely in foster care. And to all of our surprise.... Adonis does NOT have heartworms, parvo, or sarcoptic mange! Yippee! He is however being treated for a skin irritation and his coat is quickly growing back. One of the worst things of all is the fact that Adonis' ears were clipped while at the "sanctuary".... poor guy :-( No real vet work was done while he was there, but somebody found a way to crop his ears. Rehardless of how cruel and selfish humans have been to Adonis, you can see how great his temperament is. He is vetted now, doing great, and you can even see his coat is filling back in. As horrible the last year has been for Adonis, he is without a doubt an incredible Corso! As horrible as humans have been to him, he is so forgiving. He loves his humans and doesn't stray far away from his foster parents and siblings. He is great with other dogs and would most likely be just fine with a cat. He is currently being fostered in a home with young children and a lab. His pearly whites are shiny, shiny and we believe him to be about 1.5-2yrs old.

Adonis' Horrid Story:

"Neglect at animal refuge called one of worst cases seen in St. Lucie"

Yes, Adonis was in this death camp and would of either died there or been euthanized in a shelter if we would not of found an spectacular foster home. Adonis has experienced hell; shouldn't he be entitled to a little bit of heaven? Please, please, please help us save this boy. Adonis Saved!!!! Thank you
