Lola’s foster mom says that she is still very shy and will need a very special home who will accept that she just loves other cats and dogs, but will take a while to warm up to people. She purrs constantly and loves to watch the world outside her window.
Lola was born to a feral mom in Sooke. A volunteer rescued her and Lola has been learning to trust people since then. She has come a long way in the past 3 months, thanks to her friendship with the two dogs in her foster home. She used to hide in a corner and refuse to come out, but now she is much more brave and will come out and cautiously explore the house, snuggle with the dogs and cuddle on the couch with her foster parents. She won’t walk over to you for a cuddle, but if you go to her and pick her up she will curl up with you and purr like mad. She is a gorgeous longhair with supersoft fur, which she loves to have brushed.
She can still be skittish at times so a quieter home without any small children would be best for her. She would do best either in a home where she gets lots of one-on-one attention from people or where there are other cats or cat-friendly dogs for her to play with. Gaining her trust and affection takes some time, but is worth every effort as she is such a loving girl when she finally bonds with you.
Lola was born approx mid-August 2009 and has been dewormed, deflead, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLv and has been spayed. She is an adorable girl who has been waiting nearly 10 months for her forever home.
