My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marina is a young female Shepherd mix looking for her forever family. Marina is about 10 months old as of Aug 2011. She is very sweet and gets along with both small and large dogs. We have discovered that she loves to play in water (see video)!! We have not taught her to swim yet but we suspect that she would love to go hiking and swimming with her forever family. While she has not been tested on cats she does not appear to have any agressive tendencies. She has been going to work with her foster dad almost daily and is said to be very well behaved. She loves to be with her human! Marina would most likely do fine with any type of family - she likes to travel but she also just likes to chill out. Marina was living with her homeless owner when she was hit by a car the first week of June. Her back left leg was amputated on June 6, 2011. She is an absolute inspiration! She is so happy and runs and plays as if she still has all of her legs. Other than having the leg removed Marina is quite healthy. She is ready to go home with a family that will love her as much as she deserves. If you would like to meet Marina please contact us. You will be delighted by this girl!
Adoption fee for Marina is $150 which helps to defray part of the cost of her surgery (including her spay), micro chip and vaccinations.
