My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We found "Shep" wandering in the Arizona desert a few weeks ago. She was chasing cars and dodging in and out of traffic in an apparent and desperate plea to find her owner. We strongly suspect she had been dumped from a vehicle as she would stand on the roadside and bolt after oncoming traffic.

She is a super good natured young dog, under a year of age. She is extremely playful and is compatible with other dogs and cats. She's a very happy dog, and does not appear to have any dominance or jealously issues towards the other animals. Shep also seems neutral towards ducks, chickens, etc., but has not been proven around fowl off leash.

Her entire repetoire consists of eat, poop, play, and be loved. She is especially fond of belly rubs. She has crate trained remarkably well, and will alert you when she needs to potty with a wimper or a bark. She is already understanding simple commands, but will require training and reinforcement just as any puppy would. She would do best in an active home and would require a securely fenced yard where she can run.

Shep has been spayed, vaccinated, microchiped and treated for parasites. Her coat is slick and smooth, so should require minimal maintenance. She the picture of health, and a beautiful & intelligent dog. She has been gentle towards children, but is quite strong for her 45lb frame, so little people would would need to be supervised around her so as not to knock them down inadvertently. She would likely do best with a companion dog that will offer her a constant playmate.
