ADOPTION PENDING

*****Below you will find contact email as well as adoption fees & all that is included in the fee which reimburses our rescue so we can continue to save pets that are scheduled for euthanasia simply because the animal shelters are full.****

You can meet Coco at one of our local dog parks in DFW by contacting adoption@tailsofrescuetexas.com. Contacting us via email will get you the quickest response. Prior to adoption, a vet check is required. We verify you have kept past/current pets UTD on vaccinations and dogs on heart worm preventative.

Coco was surrendered along with her housemate Toby to the Flower Mound Animal shelter at the age of 9. Coco and Toby had been purchased from Petland in 2003 as puppies. Their family had become overwhelmed caring for 2 elderly parents, so they surrendered them in hope both would be adopted. Toby was adopted, but Coco had not and had been at the shelter awhile, so one of our foster mom's drove out to Flower Mound to rescue this sweetie pie.

Coco has grown up with 3 kids, now 8, 10 & 15. She is great around other dogs and met a wide range of dogs when entering her foster mom. She is now living with puppies to seniors, male and females ranging in size from 9 lbs to 138 lbs. So she is a very flexible little lady. She loves going on car rides and hanging her head out to let the fresh air hit her little face. She was a good girl while getting groomed, but a little wiggly. She is great on a leash and loves to go on walks. She enjoys caring around her toy. She is said to leave it at the door and re-claim it when she comes back inside, but I have not seen this. Coco is in great shape physically and mentally. No one that meets her, believes she is 9. She has all of her teeth and they are all sparkly white. She lays on her tummy with her legs stretched out behind her showing she has wonderfully flexible hips. I do not have one complaint about Coco. She is a wonderful dog.

Coco would do great as a companion to another lap dog, or as the only dog. She is a very sweet girl that loves to be hugged and carried around. She will talk to you if you stop petting her, if she has not had enough. She will be a great lap and walking companion to a family.

COCO BURBERRY'S ADOPTION FEE: $125
She is spayed and UTD on core vaccinations. She just got 3-year rabies vaccinations. She just got her teeth cleaned; she is heart worm negative and had a fecal test. She is also on heart worm preventative. Her adoption fee also includes her teeth cleaning. Coco is eligible for pet health insurance through Petfinder's new partner, Petfirst. The PetFirst Adoption policy gives you the first month of comprehensive pet health insurance for $5.00 with additional months at $14.95.For more information please visit PETFIRST HEALTHCARE
