Meet Ali!
Poor Ali came into the RAS 8/7/11 with clear medical needs. She had a severe skin condition that appears to be mange. Thanks to Taber's Helping Paw, Ali will be going to the vet so we know exactly what is wrong with her and how we can help.
Vet's diagnois: at first glance he thought it was Sarcoptic mange but a skin scrapping revealed Demoxdex mites. The vet's personal comments were that it is the worst case he has ever seen and cautioned us to treat her as if she had Sarcoptic mange, keeping her away from other animals and to use gloves at all times when handling her. As if that is not enough Ali also has a left ear infection.
Soooo what do we want??? -- Ali NEEDS a foster urgently! Not just anyone. Ali requires someone who is able to safely medicate her, and she absolutely MUST be kept quarantined from all other animals. Because of the risk factor NO CHILDREN in the home.
It is with a heavy heart that we realize this is likely a crap shoot and chances are remote at best, of finding such a foster. However, we only need one person and for Ali, we must suck it up and do what is humanly possible for her...after all it was human error that allowed this to manifest into this severe condition. Canines forgive and sweet Ali wags her tail and her pleading eyes are simply begging for other humans to help her.
We are on bended knee begging for help for Ali. If all you can do is cross-post her story then pleeeeeeeez get this story out there as fast as you can through email to family, friends and co-workers, use Facebook, tweet, whatever you can think of. It is imperative that we find a foster for Ali at the very least, for the weekend so she can continue her regime of medications and be closely monitored.
