My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Niko has been homeless for nearly 6 months! His elderly owner could no longer care for him and surrendered him to a local shelter. He was confined by himself for several months due to a skin problem that caused him to lose some of his beautiful coat. He was finally diagnosed as having a chronic skin condition that is not contagious. His time was running out at the shelter but a foster home was found just in time. Countrydogs has rescued Niko and we are very excited to help find him the new home he deserves. Niko has certainly paid his dues and many good people have invested their hearts in this wonderful dog. His report card is excellent! He is a love bug and he kisses everyone he meets including other dogs. He is well behaved with a calm disposition, but still full of good playful energy. He does well with other dogs and seems indifferent to cats. He is house trained, good on a leash, and will sleep next to the bed or in a kennel. He is quiet, non-destructive, and shows no interest in being an escape artist. This is a great dog! He will easily fit into any family that is willing to provide him with consistent bathing and monitoring of his skin. Most of all he needs a place to call his own again and lots of love.
