My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Please consider being a foster mom and dad to a pet in need. It is a very rewarding experience and it will help save a dog's life.***

** Male, Purebred AKC Cocker Spaniel
**7 months (DOB 1/22/11), 23lbs
** House Trained
** Crate trained
** Good with dog respectful children
** Good with dogs, good with cats
** Adoption fee $395

Health: Luke is spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, current on DHLPP, Bordatella, and Rabies. He has also had a cherry eye repair in one of his eyes. His brother Annakin had the genetic eye test (prcd-PRA) done and he was clear for this eye disease and was genetically healthy.

More About Me:Hello, I am Luke. I am a happy and fun Cocker pup. I am a very happy boy and I love to play and explore. I like meeting new people and enjoy adventures. I am social and outgoing, but I sometimes need a little time to adjust to my new surroundings. I can get a little scared with loud noises, but I adjust well. I enjoy my people and canine companions. I love to explore and be a part of the excitement. I enjoy playing with other dogs and fetching toys. I enjoy carrying the toys around in my mouth and running around the yard. I have been quiet at my foster home and do not bark much. I can be a little shy, but it does not take me long to settle in am crate trained and I do well in my crate. I am also housetrained. I am a wonderful pup with a ton of love, energy, and playful spunk for my new family. I have been raised with kids (daycare setting), cats, and other dogs and do well with all. Hurry and apply as I would love to find a family of my own that will love and cherish me as well as take me on outings and adventures. I am ready to explore. I would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Please feel free to check back for bio updates.

FOSTER UPDATE
Luke is a very fun little guy. He loves to run, play and explore. He enjoys meeting new people and dogs. He is a social boy with a ton of love and excitement to share with all. He can be a little shy in some settings, but he does well in most. He loves to play fetch and run around with the other dogs in his foster home. Luke is a great Cocker pup with a wonderful demeanor and personality. He walks well on his leash, but like most pups he needs a little work. He is doing well with his obedience and is learning the rules of the home. He is a great boy with a ton of joy and personality to share with all. He did very well for his grooming and nail trim. He will make an exceptional addition for his new home.

History: Luke, R2D2, and Annakin are the last of a litter of 8. The family decided to breed their dog with another Cocker and the result was a litter of 8 puppies and these 3 pups are still looking for homes of their own. NWIPR was asked to bring them into rescue and find them great homes. We are so glad to have them join us in rescue.

NWIPR IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER REGISTERED NON-PROFIT 501c3 PUBLIC CHARITY
Your adoption donation is used to care for and vet the many dogs that enter into rescue from overcrowded shelters where their time is running out-ultimately they are on death row. Your adoption donation goes directly to the care of the many dogs that enter into rescue. All dogs leave rescue vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and medically checked out. In some cases they receive dentals, ear flush, surgeries, and so on to ensure that they are healthy and ready to be adopted. Your adoption donation is very much appreciated and needed to help care for the many needy dogs that enter into rescue. New adopters receive a FREE exam coupon at a local veterinary clinic in Lynnwood OR a $30 care voucher to a veterinary chain (so be sure to ask about these coupons if you are interested).

NOTE: Please do not email for more dog info. This is all the info available until approved application is received and then you can talk directly to that dog's foster home for further info. Thank you!

NWIPR's adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, screening, in person meeting, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. NWIPR is the pet's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general and unique needs, therefore adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption for any reason.

PLEASE NOTE: The information contained within this pet's biography is based on observations from the current foster home. NWIPR is very honest about the pet's behavior and needs (and provides up to date information), we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners as individual household dynamics vary greatly.

CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG
***Do you or someone you know have the desire to help a rescue dog? If you have a loving heart, dog experience, a safe and secure yard and the notion to make a difference, please consider fostering a rescue dog. There are MANY dogs that we just do not have room for and just one person can make a world of difference to a dog that needs a safe place to rest his or her weary paws.....***
