My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boy, this poor 6-7 year old girl has had a rough life. She was such a mess when we rescued her. She came from a south suburb animal control after she was left abandoned in a basement of a foreclosed home. We are not sure how long she had been there but from the looks of her, it had been quite some time. She was covered head to toe in urine and feces and had lost a tremendous amount of weight. We quickly cleaned her up and she is on the right track! Unfortunately, she does have heartworm disease. Currently the medical treatment for heartworn disease is a drug called Immiticide which is on a raw material shortage back order. It is set to arrive in small quantities soon and we are hopeful we can treat Hope soon. However, this is not going to stop us from finding this sweet girl a home! We will treat Hope as soon as the product is available even after her adoption! She is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs and likes to play. She is good with cats, people of all ages, housebroken, and crate trained. She would just like a second chance at a great life she so deserves!
