My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddha is just as lovable and active as any young lab should be. He recently started to limp and when we took him to the vet test reveled he has a degenerative disc in his back. This sweet boy has loads of energy, a sweet personality and the kind of enthusiasm for life that only a Labrador has. His current foster home has been teaching him to keep all four feet on the floor at all times because every time he jumps or jars his back he not only experiences pain but he also makes his problem worse. He has also been learning to walk nicely on a leash and to approach life more calmly. Buddha may be almost 2 years old but he still acts like a 6 month old puppy so he really needs someone to help him mature, his life and health depend on it. Buddha is currently restricted from doing a lot of stairs, jumping, running or jogging. Swimming would be really beneficial to his back as would short walks on a leash. A home for Buddha would need to be understanding of his limitations and willing to give him the time to heal properly from this injury. Right now Bhudda's future is uncertain, he is in desperate need of a foster or adoptive home as he can not stay where he is and has no where to go.
