** Muffin & Biscuit – Bonded Pair - Must go together **

If you’re looking for two tiny dogs who will trade you a lifetime of devotion and puppy kisses for a warm spot in your bed and a gentle hand to pet them, this is the couple for you.

Muffin and Biscuit were abandoned by their owner at the Mahoning Count Dog Pound at the beginning of September. Why, we have no idea. They were so scared when we first met them, separated in tiny metal cages, but each of them eagerly climbed in our arms and perched on our shoulders as if to say, “Let’s go!”

Anyone who doesn’t believe dogs can bond should meet these two. They love each other as strongly as any married couple. If one is out of sight, the other cries. They share a doggy bed, their food, toys, everything.

Because of their strong bond, Biscuit and Muffin are required to go together and cannot be adopted separately. Due to this, their adoption fee has been reduced to $300 for both, which includes our entire healthcare package (see below) for each dog.

When they first arrived at New Lease on Life, they didn’t know how to play. For all we know, they might never have even seen a toy before. Biscuit was the first one brave enough to try it. Once he figured out how fun it was to toss a toy in the air and chase it, he was hooked. Before long, he taught Muffin how to play too. Now whenever they get a new toy, they have fun for hours.

Muffin weighs in at only 9 pounds as is the more timid of the two. She’ll hang back when she first meets a new person. But once she knows you and likes you she will follow you to the ends of the earth. She loves to give little kisses.

Biscuit is Muffin’s big butch protector.. at least in his mind. When a new person approaches them, Biscuit positions himself in front of Muffin to scare them off. After all, he’s a whole TEN POUNDS! He’s huge! LOL.

Don’t miss their video! Both of these dogs have so much love to give.

Both Biscuit and Muffin are fully housebroken and are thrilled to go for walks. They trot happily side by side, exploring flowers and bushes.

Biscuit and Muffin both get along just fine with cats. They might even think they are cats since they’re the right size. They also do great with other dogs, as long as the dogs understand that they’re not on the menu. One of their favorite playmates at the shelter is a Greant Dane/Boxer mix. Talk about your BIG playmates!

If you are interested in adopting Biscuit and Muffin, you can visit them at the shelter any time during adoption hours, Thursday through Sunday 5 to 8pm, or call 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt at another time or on another day. Both have already been spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (negative) and are on preventative, fully vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so they are ready to go home with you right away.
