My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow is new to the rescue, she is 4 years old.
Willow is a a quiet and sweet pug who likes to be on your lap. Since Willow is new to the rescue, she hasn't come out of her shell yet. Willow came into the rescue as a pug who was trained to go to the bathroom in kitty litter and spent most of her time in the house. She had hair loss and a skin infection on her lower legs and belly. Upon taking Willow to the vet, it was determined that Willow has a yeast infection all over her skin. At this time, we are unsure if it is a reaction to the kitty litter or an allergy. We will know more as she heals. Willow is also being treated for an ear infection and dry eyes. Willow will be in foster care as her skin, eyes, and ears heal. She is learning to go potty outside since she can't use kitty litter with her skin infection. Willow followed her foster family's pugs outside for first time yesterday, so we know she will get the hang of it! More information will be posted as she heals, learns more about being outside, and as her personality begins to develop.
Update July 12: Willow is completely potty trained. She doesn't do well with cats. She will likely need to be on allergy medication for life. She has been on thyroid medication recently but the vet believes that she can be eventually weaned off of it. She is also on a prescription dog food to help her stomach.
